each week Wednesdays 2-3pm at London Fields yoga Studio, my baby and I teach a mums and baby yoga class. We have had the pleasure of meeting and practising with many mums and babies and look forward to meeting some more!
You are welcome to join from 6 weeks postpartum but of course, come when you are ready. Often early on you’ll spend a bit of time in class feeding when baby is very young, but its still good to get them comfortable and used to the class, and you benefit from the breathing and the techniques learned. It’s important to find and activate the pelvic floor muscles and TVA as soon as possible in order to start your recovery from pregnancy and labour in order to re-establish a good posture and feel healthy and normal enough to cope with the new demands of motherhood. We work on healing the separation of the abdominals so that you are soon ready to safely take on high impact exercise.
