It is popular nowadays to categorise Yoga into a lots of various styles, and it is easy to be confused by what is on offer, but one must remember, that there is only one Yoga and these styles on offer simply reflect the various ways in which to access and embody Yoga. Different people may tend towards a different style but the ultimate destination is the same. This is enlightenment, the realisation of non-duality. I practice and teach from Patanjali’s Ashtanga Yoga, which considers a person and their lifestyle in its entirety. Personal conduct, social conduct, yoga postures, breathing techniques, conecntration, meditation are all equally important in order to attain enlightenment. Regardless of which Yogic practice is followed, the intention is to generate wisdom for living daily life, to enhance awareness and to be present and mindful in thought and action amidst our life’s challenges, obstacles and realities. Yoga is accessible for all, no matter how flexible, strong or fit (or not!) that you perceive yourself to be. Yoga talks to the artist, the scientist and the philosopher within us all. Through consciously letting go of habitual holding patterns, you not only change your physiology but also your mental attitude for the better, evoking your own radiate energy and transforming more and more into your true self. Moment to moment, breath to breath, through this movement meditation we call yoga, let your soul dance. Open up to infinite potential, connect to what inspires you, what you are passionate about and what you live for.

“If we want to know ourselves and make sense of the world we live in, yoga is a well tested vehicle”
Georg Feuerstein, Director of Yoga Research and Education Center
