Origins of Reiki

Reiki originated in Japan through the teachings of Mikao Usui and is a gentle system of energy healing based on ki - life force, in yoga we call it prana, and the Chinese traditions refer to Chi.  The energy that heals is the same energy that awakens the light of your consciousness. Reiki is essentially, simply a connection to natural energy that restores us to our true nature.

Holy Fire® Usui Reiki Master Teacher * Senior Yoga Teacher * Yoga Teacher Trainer* Women's Wellbeing Specialist and Cranial Sacral Therapist.

My work with the subtle body has developed through 20 years of yoga teaching alongside meditation, breath-work, Reiki, therapeutic bodywork and Cranial Sacral Therapy. 

At the heart of my offerings is always the recognition that we must trust the innate intelligence of the multi-dimensional human being. The medicine is always hidden within the kernal of the problem. We as practitioners need not 'try to heal' but only be present to that intelligence and the more we get out of the way of the process of healing, the better.

Within these trainings, you'll learn the traditional foundations of Reiki whilst also having space to explore what you're actually experiencing in your own body and practice. 

We explore the yoga-reiki connection

It turns out, that prana and ki are not too dissimilar! If you already practice yoga and meditation, Level 2 can add another fascinating dimension to your understanding of subtle energy. Yoga practice provides you with a very strong grounding in working with Reiki and meditation provides you with the capacity for stillness and observation. These modalities, although distinct, and we honour lineages, they can be very complimentary in enhancing your life.
